At the Hong Kong Optical Fair, a student design took first place as student-group champion in a student eyewear design competition. Concept Eyewear is proud to have played a quiet but practical part: helping turn that winning idea into a real pair of glasses.
Our engineering director, Calvin Kwan, and the Concept Eyewear team supported the student by making the sample—bridging sketch and wearable frame. The plaque Calvin holds is essentially a thank-you for that work: appreciation for realizing the design, not a separate contest win by our company.

Industry support for young designers
Young designers often have strong ideas and limited access to tooling, materials, and production know-how. Soft support from manufacturers matters. When a school concept can become a finished sample, students see what it takes to move from paper to product—and the industry gains fresh talent.
That is everyday work for an OEM/ODM partner. With more than two decades helping brands develop eyewear, Concept Eyewear is used to taking a design brief and making it manufacturable. Supporting a student champion at the fair is the same craft, applied with a CSR mindset: open the door a little wider for the next generation.
